Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 20

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ribeye steak thinly sliced

  • 1 large white onion diced

  • 1 green pepper chopped

  • 3 tbsp of butter

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • salt to taste

  • pepper to taste

  • 4 Tbsp of Mayonnaise

  • 8 Provolone Slices

  • 4 Hoagie Rolls sliced

  1. On medium heat, add 1 tbsp of oil to your pan and sauté diced onions and green peppers until the onions are caramelized. Transfer to a bowl.

  2. Increase the heat and add 1 tbsp of oil. Spread the steak in the pan and let brown for 5 minutes. Add salt, and pepper. Sauté until steak is fully cooked. Add onions and peppers back into the pan.

  3. While steak is cooking, slice your hoagie rolls if they aren't already.

  4. In a bowl, stir together the softened butter and garlic powder. Spread garlic butter onto the cut sides of the hoagie. Toast the bun on the skillet on medium heat until the sides are golden brown and crispy.

  5. Divide your steak in 4 sections (or more depending on how many sandwiches you're making) Turn off your heat and add your provolone cheese so the cheese will melt without over cooking.

  6. Spread a layer of mayo on your toasted rolls. Take your steak and add to the bun and enjoy.

Serve with my homemade french fries!
