This burger is super easy to make and only requires a few ingredients. Make it on a nice warm spring or summer day and pair with homemade french fries, pasta salad, or whatever side you prefer.
For the burger, you can buy ground meat, or ground turkey, or ground sirloin and season the same way. This recipe I used ground turkey.
Estimated Time: 35-45 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Meat
1 Ib. of ground turkey, Ground meat, or ground turkey
1 packet of french onion mix
1 Tbsp of Pepper
1 Tbsp of Salt
1 tsp of garlic powder
Toppings
Blue Cheese
Bacon
Hamburger Buns
1. Take your 1 Ib. of meat and mix together all of the seasoning. Form into patties.
2. While you light up your grill, turn your oven on to 350 degrees. Take a baking sheet and line it with aluminum foil. Place bacon on the baking sheet and cook bacon for 20-25 minutes until its crispy.
3. Add your patties to the grill. Once you've cooked to your liking, add your blue cheese to the top and let rest for the last 3 minutes to melt the cheese.
4. Make room on the side of your grill for your hamburger buns. If you want them nice and crispy, cut them in half and put both sides down flat for one minute. Keep and eye on them so they do not burn. You want to just have it golden brown.
5. Now add your meat to the bun and place your bacon on top of the meat. You can add other toppings but I prefer my bacon bleu burger with bacon and lettuce only.
6. Serve with homemade fries, which you can check out my recipe for that here.
Enjoy,
Jenna
